Hurd Kingsview Green Windows

The Hurd Kingsview(tm) single hung window, the first product in a line of top-quality, all-wood windows and doors will headline an unprecendented 11 new products from Hurd at the 2006 International Builders Show. The Hurd Kingsview product line is expected to be the industry's best-designed windows. With no visible man-made material, the industry's highest impact ratings and sophisticatedly styled hardware, each product in the Hurd Kingsview line is hand-crafted to be architecturally beautiful and amazingly strong.

With Kingsview, Hurd has created a truly all-wood window and patio door line. There are no visible jambliners. All that is visible on the interior is beautiful, natural wood, making Hurd Kingsview windows and doors ideal for historical renovations.

Wood is also the reason the windows and doors are so strong. Built with stronger extrusions and more solid wood, Hurd Kingsview windows offer both strength and security. The Kingsview single hung can withstand a Category IV hurricane force wind with an impressive DP+65/-70 rating with Hurd FeelSafe(tm) impact glazing. With any of Hurd's other performance glass options, the Kingsview single hung scored an inland rating of up to DP50.

"The new Kingsview product line was designed with impact in mind," said Joe Herman, vice president of sales and marketing for Hurd Windows & Doors. "For instance, the Kingsview single hung is the strongest, all natural, all-wood interior window available. We're also able to make Kingsview products in huge sizes. We now have a 10-foot patio door and stationary single hung windows 10 feet tall. These new products are in response to homeowners' desire for larger, more dramatic openings. Today's luxury homes are being built on a grander scale. Hurd windows are equally grand."

Hurd is making larger, stronger and more custom windows than ever before. With more species of wood, arched components and elegant hardware, the Hurd Kingsview product line is ideal for luxury homes. Available in an array of sizes and shapes, Hurd expects the Kingsview product line to open new design opportunities.

"With Kingsview, builders and architects have a whole new design avenue," said Herman. "The Hurd Kingsview line is ideal for the booming urban revitalization market in which builders and architects are converting abandoned warehouses into lofts."
